Submitting A Plot

Please submit a plot at least two weeks before you wish the plot to start, and please add as many details about the plot you can think of when submitting it. Contact information for this post is optional, UNLESS it's for player-run plots! Feel free to submit a plot anonymously or logged in if it's an idea you wish for us to run. We will respond to every comment posted, whether we're able to use it or not, just to let you know that it has been received. Please remember that we might not be able to take every plot. Not every suggestion will work with the mechanics of the game, but we will always give each plot an opportunity and discuss it once we're given a suggestion.

Current Characters: What it says on the tin. <b>character</b> Canon: Name: First Name Last Name order, please! Age: Actual canon age, as well as a description of physical age if they look older (or younger!) than they are. Canon Point: The point at which you take your character. For episodic canons, please list both the number and the title of the episode or chapter. For movies, please list the point you’re taking them from in a sentence or two. For example, John Doe is coming from just after he buys the box of chocolates. Canon Resource Links: We will accept wiki links for character’s history and background – unless your series isn’t translated into English/is massively obscure, you won’t have to write a ridiculously complex history. Personality: We’re looking for around 200-300 words here. We’d like to see that you have a good understanding of what makes your character <i>tick</i>, their motives, how they've grown and developed through the course of their canon. Abilities: We're looking for two parts to this section. One is not compulsory, and that is what kind of powers does your character have? Magic, a mutation? Please be aware that these particular powers <i>will</i> be taken away upon arrival. The second - and mandatory section - is Strengths & Weaknesses. What is your character scared of? What are they particularly good at? Life skills, and the things they could use a little help with. <b>game</b> Totem: Whether it be made of stone, metal, bone or wood, this little item allows them to access the dream world, and to retain their free will. A rough guide is to use the top joint of your thumb as a size reference. Items: Your character is allowed to bring with them three items. A suggestion is a weapon, a change of clothes, and one personal effect. Please note that guns must be pistols, and come with only one extra clip of ammunition. Bows may come with a quiver of up to twelve arrows. Only one sword/melee weapon may be brought, but if a character uses more than one, they may use their other two slots to bring along extra weapons. There are no chargers for technology, and there are no wireless networks, telephone transmitters, or radio transmitters, but they may bring them if they wish. Powers: This section is only for those characters WITHOUT powers. What power would you like your character to have? Whether it's the ability to breathe water, communicate with animals, or fly, it's all up to you. They can be as trivial as you want, although we may ask you to tone down potential powers if they are overly strong/gamebreaking. Of course, if you don't want to give your perfectly normal human powers, you don't have to! Sample One: This is designed to take place after they've been in game for a while. You can use [Action spam brackets] or straight prose, but we'll be wanting to see about eight sentences worth here - we want to be able to get a handle on the character's voice, how they'd communicate with others, etc. Sample Two: This is a dream post, similar to what a "communicator" post would be in other games. It can be visual, auditory or even text - the possibilities. We want to try and get a feel for their inner workings and thought processes. You do not have to use the setting of Tropic, in fact you can use pretty much anything you like, as it is indeed a dream. Please do not use previous game posts or dear_mun posts, as we want this to be original.

Again, this is a simple one. You are not your character, and your character is not you. We'd like to ask that you keep OOC feuding out of IC interactions.

Sockpuppets are childish things, and we'd like to think that we're all mature enough to deal with things without resorting to cloak-and-dagger methods.
